British Dressage was founded in 1998 and now has more than 10,000 members. There are currently approximately 300 British Dressage members in Wales.
Three quarters of British Dressage members compete at preliminary, novice and elementary levels. Affiliated dressage strives to be fair and is regulated by British Dressage. Judges are trained and tested before they are eligible to judge.
British Young Riders Dressage Scheme (BYRDS) is open to all riders up to the age of 25. Teams representing Wales travel to inter regional competitions throughout the UK, with great success.
Disabled riders are welcomed by British Dressage and compete in all affiliated competitions. 11 riders from Wales recently went to the RDA qualifiers, with 9 qualifying.

Polocrosse is a team game played on horseback by two teams of 6 players. Each player carries a wooden stick with a net at the end. The polocrosse ball is carried and thrown between team members, who catch the ball using the net.
